Girls' Generation to Perform at Concert in Pyeongchang
On October 8 at 7PM, the Korean National Tourist Organization will be holding a K-Pop concert at the Alpensia ski jump special stage.
Out of the 12,000 seats, they are expecting 10,000 will be filled with Korean fans, and that fans from Japan, China, Taiwan, America, and Europe will fill the remaining 2,000.
"The fact that a Hallyu concert will be held in a local, rather than a metropolitan area, makes it meaningful. With the many overseas fans that will attend, we are expecting it to have a positive effect on the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics."
Along with groups Girls' Generation and Super Junior, Infinite, the band Boohwal, singer Kim Gunmo (43), and winner of MBC TV's "Birth Of A Great Star" Baek Chunggang (22) will be performing.
It is a free concert, and ticket distributions and other detailed information have yet to be announced.
