Japan's Oricon Praise Girls' Generation's First Japan Arena Tour
Girls' Generation's recently wrapped up first Japan Arena Tour has proven to be immensely popular in the country.
Japan's Oricon, a leading holding company that supplies statistics and information regarding the music industry in Japan, stated on July 21st that "Girls' Generation's last concert for their first Japanese tour took place on the 18th at Fukuoka's Marine Messe. Due to the Japanese earthquakes, the concert schedule was consequently delayed. The tour had 14 concerts which started at the end of May, gathering around 140,000 attendees.
Despite having to release their first full-length Japanese album, perform in Paris with SMTOWN as well as take part in their Korean scheduled activities, the members managed to successfully wrap up their tour with positive reviews."
Each concert lasted three hours and included a total of 32 songs. Although their perfect performances and flashy production sets were well-received, the Japanese media instead chose to focus on the girls' tears. Tiffany and Yuri commented that "It was our dream to hold a national tour. Thank you for giving us so much love". The girls couldn't hold back their tears and cried, further expressing their sincere feelings. Oricon further praised them, saying "The members' tears shined brightly."
Girls' Generation will hold their second solo concert on July 23rd and 24th in Seoul. Stay tuned for updates!
